Where Compassion Meets Cutting-Edge Care: Excellence in Endometriosis and Gynecologic Conditions

Draper, Utah - Dr. Jeff Arrington, renowned for his dedication to endometriosis advocacy and advanced gynecologic surgery, has been a beacon of hope for patients worldwide. As the Founder of The Endometriosis Specialty Clinic, also known as EndoWest, he has solidified his reputation as a leading expert in endometriosis excision surgery and minimally invasive gynecologic procedures.

Since the inception of his fellowship training, Dr. Arrington has consistently pushed the boundaries of his medical expertise and surgical proficiency to assist patients facing “hopeless” cases of disease. His unwavering insight and empathy have positioned him as a pioneer in endometriosis treatment. Dr. Arrington deeply understands the anguish, despair, and anxiety that many patients endure due to the disease—and he is committed to providing support. He advocates tirelessly for patients, both in and out of the operating room, earning acclaim for his compassion and dedication to individuals grappling with endometriosis and pelvic pain gynecopathologies.

Born and raised in Ogden, Utah, Dr. Arrington graduated with his Medical Degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2000. During medical school, he found an affinity for minimally invasive, laparoscopic surgery and was drawn to obstetrics and gynecology after completing his medical school rotations. Still, surgery was his favorite part.

During residency in Phoenix, Dr. Arrington found opportunities to learn from advanced laparoscopic surgeons and to push for advancement of laparoscopic procedures. He was given an honorary membership to the AAGL for excellence in minimally invasive surgery during his third year of residency.

Driven by a desire to alleviate the suffering of patients with complex gynecologic conditions, Dr. Arrington trained under the mentorship of Dr. C.Y. Liu, an internationally renowned surgeon and pioneer in gynecologic laparoscopy, after graduating residency. It was during this transformative period that he cultivated his expertise in surgical excision of endometriosis, fibroid surgery, and other intricate procedures.

After returning home, Dr. Arrington shifted his focus to practicing general Ob/Gyn with a specialization in minimally invasive surgery. Many years ago, in response to patient needs and his passion for addressing pelvic pain and endometriosis, he ceased delivering babies to concentrate on gynecologic surgery. Since 2005, Dr. Arrington has played a pivotal role in advancing minimally invasive surgical techniques throughout Utah, achieving numerous "firsts" for both the state and the Intermountain Region. Prior to joining The Endometriosis Specialty Clinic, he held the distinction of being Utah’s most prolific robotic surgeon.

For over two decades, Dr. Arrington has performed robotic surgery for endometriosis and advanced laparoscopy. He emphasizes that while robotics are a valuable tool, surgical expertise and knowledge remain paramount; every procedure he performs with robotics was initially mastered using standard laparoscopy. Adopting robotics has enabled him to operate in a seated position, reducing physical fatigue during lengthy and demanding surgeries.

Dr. Arrington has discovered his true calling in the field of endometriosis, finding immense satisfaction in tackling challenging surgeries and offering hope to patients who have endured the pain of this debilitating disease for too long. Revered by both operating room staff and patients alike, he relishes early intervention in endometriosis to prevent its progression.

Renowned for his extensive experience and successful treatment of endometriosis, Dr. Arrington is esteemed by colleagues as a leading figure in the field. His expertise has been showcased through lectures at prestigious events like the World Congress of the AAGL. He was honored by peers with roles as Vice-Chair and Chair of the AAGL Endometriosis Special Interest Group from 2022-23. Dr. Arrington actively engages in patient support groups and advocacy efforts, participating in prominent conferences such as the Endometriosis Summit and contributing to interviews, podcasts, and webinars. His voice of advocacy and education extends to social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram.

Despite his professional achievements in gynecologic surgery and advancing endometriosis care, Dr. Arrington’s greatest source of pride remains his family, who inspire and support him in his mission to provide compassionate care to those in need.
