I recommend my pregnant patients continue acupuncture throughout their pregnancies. During the first trimester, I recommend weekly treatments to help support the pregnancy and to help manage morning sickness and fatigue. I recommend patients continue with treatments weekly or every two weeks through the second and third trimester to address any physical discomfort, like back pain and acid reflux, and to help the body prepare for birth and postpartum. Typically, no you can't do too much acupressure. Pay attention to how it feels when you're doing acupressure though, because there are some nerves that can be close to the skin's surface.
