Graduating with his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Dr. Berk went on to further his training by completing his internship and residency in dermatology at  University of Miami, under the mentorship of Dr. Harvey Blank.

Following his training, the doctor attained board certification in dermatology through the American Board of Dermatology, which is a voluntary, non-profit, private, autonomous organization formed for the primary purpose of protecting the public interest by establishing and maintaining high standards of training, education, and qualifications of physicians rendering care in dermatology.

A distinguished member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society, his contributions to the field extend beyond his clinical practice. His research has found a home in prestigious publications such as the New England Journal of Medicine and the Archives of Dermatology. In addition to his thriving office practice, he serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the George Washington University, where he imparts his wealth of knowledge to the next generation of medical professionals.
