He aggressively treats PAD, as well as performs general surgery using the latest laparoscopic and robotic techniques.

Raised in Miami, Dr. Jimenez graduated with his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine at the top of his class. He then went on to complete his residency in general surgery at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas, followed by his fellowship in vascular surgery at the University of Florida in Gainesville. His academic pursuits have included conducting cutting-edge research and teaching physician assistant students, medical students, as well as surgical residents. 

A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, he is board-certified in both surgery and vascular surgery by the American Board of Surgery, an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge. 

General surgery is a surgical specialty that focuses on abdominal contents including the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, appendix and bile ducts, and often the thyroid gland. A general surgeon performs a wide range of abdominal surgeries for many forms of intestinal and abdominal wall neoplasms, gallbladder disease, gastric and pancreatic disease.
