Dr. Alexandra Myers finished her Sports Medicine Fellowship with San Diego Sports Medicine & Family Health Center (SDSM) in July 2014 and joined the practice as a full-time provider on August 1, 2014. Previously, she obtained a BA in Biology and Spanish at Cornell College. She then earned DO and MSHS degrees at Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, where she also did an Undergraduate Teaching Fellowship in osteopathic manipulative medicine. Dr. Myers completed her family medicine residency at Downey Regional Medical Center in 2013. She is board certified in family medicine and osteopathic manipulative treatment, with a Certificate of Added Qualification in sports medicine. Dr. Myers is the Director of Women's Athletic Medicine at San Diego State University, and the Team Physician for Santa Fe Christian High School. She also works extensively with San Diego Christian College, Cuyamaca College, and San Diego City College. In addition, she works with USA Rugby, is the Co-Medical Director of the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Breast Cancer Walk, and is the Medical Director for the Adrenalina Skateboard Marathon. She is bilingual in Spanish, and she volunteers annually on medical missions to Mexico with Liga International and to Haiti with Global Health Teams.
