Born in Bogota, Colombia, Dr. Triana embarked on his medical journey by graduating from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Faculty of Medicine in 1983. He pursued further training in the United States, completing his residency in internal medicine at Tulane University in 1988 and his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Baylor College of Medicine in 1992. 

Dr. Triana’s academic pursuits led him to the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center, where he played a pivotal role in the development of cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology programs. Later, he joined Cardiology Clinic of San Antonio, where he currently serves as the Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer. 

Dr. Triana continues to impact the field of cardiology through his expertise and board certifications in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, and nuclear cardiology. As a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of prestigious medical associations, including the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, and the Bexar County Medical Society, he exemplifies a dedication to advancing patient care and medical excellence.
