Get to know Maternal-Fetal Medicine Physician Dr. Robert Alan Knuppel, who serves the population of Florida. Dr. Knuppel completed his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biology, where he graduated in 1969. Wanting to further his education he graduated with his Medical Degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in 1973, giving him over four decades of experience in his field. After obtaining his Medical Degree he then completed his OB/GYN residency and his Maternal-Fetal Medicine and OB/GYN with Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Knuppel is dual certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has been awarded as a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He currently practices as an Independent Consultant and Adjunct Professor with Florida Gateway College, he is also affiliated with Penn Highlands DuBois. A maternal-fetal medicine specialist is a doctor who helps take care of women having complicated or high-risk pregnancies.
