Enhancing Patient Care and Accuracy with Advanced Imaging and Breast Diagnostics

Dr. Lauren Kerwin, an attending radiologist at Atlantic Medical Group Radiology in Morristown, New Jersey, specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of injuries and diseases through advanced medical imaging techniques. With her exceptional expertise in interpreting X-rays, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and computed tomography (CT) exams, Dr. Kerwin is committed to providing patients with the highest quality of care.

Her extensive training and fellowship in breast imaging uniquely positions her to evaluate both screening and diagnostic mammograms, as well as breast ultrasound. Dr. Kerwin’s proficiency extends to interpreting breast MRI and performing a variety of procedures, including multi-modality breast biopsies and localizations. This specialized focus ensures that patients receive accurate diagnoses and tailored treatment plans.

Dr. Kerwin’s academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Tulane University in 2006, followed by her Medical Degree from New York Medical College in 2010. She further honed her skills through a residency in internal medicine at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, followed by a residency in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in breast imaging at Morristown Medical Center, culminating in 2016. Her comprehensive education has equipped her with the knowledge and expertise to excel in her field.

As a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology, Dr. Kerwin is actively involved in several professional organizations, including the Radiologic Society of North America, the American College of Radiology, and the Society of Breast Imaging. She credits her success to her supportive family, particularly her parents, who instilled in her the value of education, as well as her own perseverance, resilience, and insatiable curiosity.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Dr. Kerwin embraces a variety of hobbies that include knitting, crocheting, fashion illustration, drawing, watercolor painting, and mixed media arts. She is passionate about exercise and nutrition science, enjoys playing soccer, and is an avid reader. One of her favorite vacation spots is Maui, Hawaii, where she finds inspiration and relaxation.
