Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Rachana George, who serves patients in Sugar Land, Texas.

An established obstetrician-gynecologist, Dr. George works with patients at Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital. She can also be found on staff at Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital.

Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital is a full-service, acute care hospital serving Fort Bend County and surrounding communities. They are a family centered, patient-focused hospital offering state-of-the-art technology and exceptional medical care in a warm and comfortable setting.

A Penfield, New York native, Dr. George graduated from Pennfield High School and went on to study health and human services & business management at the University of Buffalo. She earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine.

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).

Happily married, she and her husband, Jason, reside in Missouri City, Texas and have three beautiful daughters. In her free time, she enjoys crafting, traveling, shopping, cooking, watching movies, gardening, and reading.
