Get to know Dr. Gary Yorke, who serves clients in Austin, Texas.

Dr. Yorke is a licensed psychologist in independent private practice at Austin Behavioral Health Center. Austin Behavioral Health Center has been providing evaluation and treatment services to the Austin community since 1995. It was founded by Dr. Yorke and his wife, Jane Yorke, MA, and maintains a strong commitment to providing the best possible psychological services to Austin and the surrounding communities.

Dr. Yorke enjoys working with parents, children, and adolescents, and is available for psychological evaluations, child and adolescent therapy, counseling for parents, and play therapy. In addition to treating patients in his private practice, he regularly consults with parents and school districts on assessment and identification issues. Dr. Yorke is an active member of the Texas Psychological Association and the American Psychological Association.

Dr. Yorke has taught numerous workshops to parents and professionals on Attention-deficit/ Hyperactivity Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, pervasive developmental disorders, Asperger’s Disorder, child therapy, and the use of games in child and play therapy. He is the creator of My First Therapy Game, The Social and Emotional Competence Game, The Social and Emotional Competence Card Game, and author of My Medication Workbook. Dr. Yorke’s most recent publication is two chapters in Game Play: Therapeutic Use of Games with Children and Adolescents.
