Get to know Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Greg T. Jones, who serves the population of Arkansas. Dr. Jones graduated with his Medical Degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1985, giving him over three decades of experience in his field. After obtaining his medical Degree he completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency with Washington University. Wanting to further his training he completed his Orthopedic Sports Medicine Fellowship with Rush – Presbyterian – St. Lukes Medical. Dr. Jones is certified in sports medicine by the American Board Orthopaedic Surgery. He currently practices with Mercy Clinic and is affiliated with Mercy Hospital Fort Smith, Mercy Orthopedic Hospital Fort Smith, and Sparks Regional Medical Center where he is holds an expertise in Orthopedic Surgery and sports medicine. Orthopaedic surgeons are devoted to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disorders of the bones, joints, ligaments, tendons and muscles. Some orthopaedists are generalists, while others specialize in certain areas of the body, others specialty focuses include shoulder and elbow, hand, and spine. Orthopaedic surgeons treat broken bones, and replace painful joints, and also treat patients for sports injuries, back pain, ruptured discs and spinal stenosis, bone tumors, carpal tunnel, hand arthritis and hand injuries, club foot, bow legs and hip dysplasia, orthopaedic trauma, limb lengthening, achilles tendon injuries, bunions and foot and ankle injuries, osteoporosis, and arthritis.
