Get to know Family Physician Dr. Daniel Wemple, who serves patients in Somerville, Massachusetts. 

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Wemple is a trusted family physician who sees patients at Somerville Family Practice in Massachusetts. His clinical interests include comprehensive care for the whole family and all ages, behavioral health, and preventive care.

A California native who moved to Massachusetts in his teens, Dr. Wemple graduated with his medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 2014. He then went on to perform his residency in family medicine at the same educational venue in 2017, where he received an award for teaching.

Licensed to practice medicine in Massachusetts, he is an active staff member of the Division of Family Medicine at Mount Auburn Hospital & Highland Healthcare Associates IPA. There, his areas of interest include adolescent health, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, LGBTQ health, men’s health, obesity, and women’s health.

Recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM), the mission of the ABFM is to improve the health of the public through Board Certification, Residency Training, Research, Leadership Development, and promoting the development of the specialty of Family Medicine.

They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility. 

Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Wemple enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, as well as playing and watching sports of all kinds.
