Dr. Korivi, an experienced pain management specialist, tends to patients’ needs at his private practice, Dr. Naveen Korivi Spine Therapy, located in Houston, Texas. There, he offers the latest in procedures to manage spine disorders and musculoskeletal conditions such as epidural injections, facet injections, joint injections, discograms, radiofrequency ablation, and more. 

“Treating pain is a challenging area of medicine because it involves a knowledge of anatomy, pain medications, procedures, and the psychology of the patient. My patients have many sources of pain and finding them and treating them effectively is the goal of my practice. Pain can be caused by joints, nerves, muscles, ligaments, and tendons. We use the most accurate methods to diagnose the cause of pain and then treat it using the latest and most effective procedures available.” as stated by the doctor. 

Before attending medical school, Dr. Korivi was involved in research at MD Anderson and The University of Texas Medical School at Houston. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. He then completed his internship at Northside Hospital and Heart Institute in St. Petersburg, Florida, followed by his residency within the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Baylor/UT Alliance in Houston. For additional training, he did a spine fellowship at The Institute for Spinal Disorders at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. 

The doctor is board-certified through the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, which was established in 1947 as the certifying body for the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation under the American Board of Medical Specialties. The Board certifies both allopathic and osteopathic physicians.

Pain management is a branch of medicine employing an interdisciplinary approach for easing the suffering and improving the quality of life of those living with chronic pain.
