He has developed expertise in many of the most advanced technologies in the field of radiation oncology, including intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), high-dose-rate (HDR) temporary interstitial/intracavitary brachytherapy, permanent seed prostate brachytherapy, and MammoSite Breast ®Brachytherapy.
In regards to his educational background, Dr. Cheng graduated with his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. He then went on to perform his internship in internal medicine at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center, as well as his residencies in radiation oncology at the University of California, Irvine & City of Hope National Medical Center.
With years of experience, the doctor is board-certified in radiation oncology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR).
