Get to know Internist Dr. Barbara Białowolska-Romaniuk, who serves patients in Surprise, Arizona.

Fluent in English and Polish, Dr. Bialowolska-Romaniuk is an established internist whose areas of clinical interests are disease prevention, health maintenance, women’s health, geriatrics, and nutrition. She believes in homeopathic remedies and the use of supplements to improve health. At present, she works closely alongside Catherine Krings, C-NP, at Bestcare Internal Medicine in Surprise, Arizona.

As a team, they specialize in internal medicine to provide the best care for prevention, evaluation, and disease management services. They offer expertise through experience in the diagnosis of diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, asthma, emphysema, seasonal allergies, migraines, arthritis, gastritis, prostate disease, peptic ulcer disease, and much more. “Our passion has always been to treat patients, We take our time to get to know each patient and treat them with compassion and respect.”

Born in Poland, Dr. Białowolska-Romaniuk graduated with her medical degree from the Medical University of Warsaw in 1979. Upon relocating to the United States, she went on to complete her residency in internal medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria. Since then, she has practiced in various settings from hospitals to solo practice.

Having been a physician for the last four decades, she is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.

Currently living in the Phoenix area, Dr. Bialowolska-Romaniuk’s interests outside of work are spending time with her family, which includes her two children, Marcus and Magdalena, and three grandchildren, Michal, Maciek, and Melania. She also loves to go hiking, dancing, and swimming.
