Dr. Ali Saberi, a distinguished physician and humanitarian, was born and raised in Washington, D.C. He pursued his medical education at the University of Pécs, Hungary, where he graduated with honors in 2001. His commitment to global health and humanitarian efforts was evident early in his career, as he worked with Doctors Without Borders in Afghanistan and Sierra Leone from 2001 to 2003 where he provided medical care to refugees and locals running from war. During this time he also acted as official translator between the UNHCR, Red Crescent, and Doctors Without Borders.  He has also led national awareness projects focused on humanitarian aid and access to essential medicines within the United States and volunteered his time with the Catholic Arch Dioses to provide humanitarian medical aid in northern Peru.

 

Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Saberi completed his residency at the University of Tennessee in Memphis from 2005 to 2008, receiving special recognition in Endocrinology. Following his residency, he served as a Hospitalist in Maryland while also sharing his expertise as an Associate Professor at the University of Maryland’s Physician Assistant School on the Eastern Shore, where he taught Pathophysiology and Hospital Procedures.

 

In 2011, Dr. Saberi and his family relocated to St. Petersburg, Florida, where he established a thriving medical practice. His journey in Wound Care began at a local hospital wound care center, where he achieved wound care certification. Embracing an integrative approach to medicine, Dr. Saberi is particularly passionate about the mind-body-spirit connection. He diligently works to bridge the gap between the tangible and the intangible aspects of the human essence, emphasizing the fluidity of science and the importance of continuous growth in the ever-evolving field of medicine. His dedication to providing optimal care for his patients drives him to stay abreast of the latest research and best practices, ensuring a non-judgmental acceptance of each patient and their unique circumstances.

 

In addition to his Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Dr. Saberi boasts over 11 years of certification in Wound Care and Hyperbaric therapies. He currently serves as Chief Medical Ambassador for Heal Precisely Advanced Wound Clinic in Florida and has co-founded initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care. His extensive experience spans various medical specialties, including Palliative Care, Sports Medicine, Hospital Medicine, and Integrative & Alternative Medicine. This diverse expertise allows Dr. Saberi to employ an integrative approach, effectively addressing a wide array of patient concerns and being a Key Opinion Leader in a vast array of medical fields.

 

Outside of his professional endeavors, Dr. Saberi values mindfulness and meditation as essential components of his life. He enjoys playing soccer, listening to a broad spectrum of music, exploring literature across various genres, learning about different cultures, and cherishing quality time with his family.
