Get to know Psychiatrist Dr. Zebulon C. Taintor, who serves patients in New York, New York.

Dr. Taintor is a reputable psychiatrist working as Adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at NYU Grossman School of Medicine in New York City, NY. As a psychiatrist, he specialized in the diagnosis, prevention, study, and treatment of mental disorders.

New York University Grossman School of Medicine founded in 1841, is the medical school of New York University. NYU Grossman School of Medicine is part of NYU Langone Health, named after Kenneth Langone, the investment banker and financial backer of The Home Depot.

Dr. Taintor attended Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio, for his undergraduate education, i.e., his Bachelor of Arts Degree, which he acquired in 1958. He then pursued his medical degree at Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University and graduated in 1962. Following a one-year internship at NYU School of Medicine (1962-1963), Dr. Taintor conducted his residency in psychiatry at the  New York Presbyterian Hospital – Cornell Campus (1963 – 1966).

Upon completing his formal training in psychiatry, Dr. Taintor received board certification in psychiatry through the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry (ABNP). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation that was founded in 1934 as a method of identifying qualified specialists in psychiatry and neurology. The ABPN is one of 24 member boards of the American Board of Medical Specialties.

Psychiatry is the medical specialty devoted to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of mental disorders. These include various maladaptations related to mood, behaviour, cognition, and perceptions.
