Recognized as a trusted pediatrician, Dr. Licata established Pediatric Associates, PC in Marietta, Georgia in 1989.

Pediatric Associates, PC specialize in all aspects of healthcare for children from birth to age 26.  The providers believe preventive medicine is as important as the treatment of disease and acute illness. At each visit, their goal is to answer all questions about the child’s health, while ensuring their optimal well-being.

Moving to Atlanta in 1974 to attend Emory’s undergraduate program, it is there that Dr. Licata received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He then attended the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, earning his medical degree in 1982. From there, he completed his pediatric internship and residency at Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

Having been practicing pediatrics in Marietta since 1985, Dr. Licata served as President and Chief of the Department of Pediatrics at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite from 1992-1994, and as President of the Medical and Surgical staff in 1996. He served as Chairman of The Children’s Healthcare Network Board for 7 years, and has been on the Board of the Children’s Care Network since its inception. In 1999, Dr. Licata formed Pediatric Associates of Johns Creek and now employs four experienced Pediatricians at that location.

A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Licata is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends people be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. Pediatricians provide medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. They are trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all of their developmental stages, as they grow and mature.

On a more personal note, Dr. Licata lives in Roswell with his wife, Niveen, and together, they have five sons. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, fly fishing, and skiing.
