Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Lauren Feit, who serves patients in New York, New York.

Dr. Feit is a trusted obstetrician-gynecologist with a private practice on New York City’s Upper East Side. Her areas of expertise include gynecology, pregnancy care, and routine gynecologic care. 

Among her other clinical and academic positions, she serves as an Assistant Attending Obstetrician and Gynecologist at NewYork-Presbyterian / Weill Cornell Medical Center, and as an Clinical Instructor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Weill Cornell Medical College, Cornell University.

Originally from Brooklyn, Dr. Feit received her undergraduate degree from Barnard College in 1997, where she graduated cum laude with a degree in American history. She then went on to graduate from New York Medical College in 2001 with a medical degree. Years later, in 2005, she completed her training in obstetrics and gynecology at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center.

A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, she is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

Obstetrics and Gynecology is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics and gynecology. An obstetrician-gynecologist, or OB-GYN, is a healthcare professional who specializes in female reproductive health.

As a mother to four children with more than 10 years of clinical experience, Dr. Feit understands motherhood. At New York Medical College, she earned the Martin L. Stone Award for excellence in obstetrics in gynecology as well as the Samuel Spiegel, MD, Memorial Award for outstanding scholastic record and exceptional clinical skills. She lives in Manhattan with her husband and children.
