A skilled obstetrician-gynecologist, Dr. Alperin joined Contemporary Care for Women, now known as Southwest Contemporary Women’s Care, in 1995. At the Tempe office in Arizona, he works with his patients to have the best women’s health care experience from pregnancy and the birth of their baby to menopause.

Southwest Contemporary Women’s Care provides OB/GYN services for all women from their teens through maturity in their offices located in Ahwatukee, Gilbert, and Tempe, Arizona. It is ready to help patients feel and look their best in a nurturing environment and offer guidance from the start of womanhood to giving birth and through menopause. It was formed in 2011 with the merger of two amazing groups, Southwest Women’s Care and Contemporary Care for Women, which have been caring for patients since 1981.

Born and raised in Augusta, Georgia, Dr. Alperin followed the medical interest of his father and attended the University of Georgia Medical School, earning his medical degree in 1995. He then completed his internship at the Medical College of Georgia and his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona.

A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG), he is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).

Among his most notable achievements, Dr. Alperin has been the recipient of the Patients’ Choice Award in 2008 and 2016.

Happily married, he enjoys spending time with his three busy young girls. He also enjoys golf, particularly when he can attend The Masters in Georgia.
