This is a typical dose for a diagnostic CT. As a general rule, imaging should be done wisely and gently. CT is a powerful and safe tool. Imaging with radiation should always be performed after considering the value of the information obtained and the alternatives available. READ MORE
How do you stay calm during a CT scan?

All radiation has a risk/benefit ratio. The goal is always to image wisely. The best imaging method should always be chosen for the clinical issue. The goal is to image definitively with the newest and safest equipment. I recommend having the cardiologist evaluation more rapidly because some arrhythmias can be serious. The aortic aneurysm follow up is okay at 12 months because 4.1 cm, particularly in the ascending thoracic aorta, is considered borderline abnormal. READ MORE
