Get to know Allergist and Immunologist Dr. Diego Saporta, who serves patients in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
Board-certified otolaryngologist, Dr. Saporta, has a special interest in the management of allergic conditions. In addition to his affiliation with Trinitas Regional Medical Center, he serves patients at his private practice, Associates in ENT & Allergy PA, in Elizabeth, New Jersey. There, he and his team administer allergy drops and nasal allergy treatment to patients in need.
As an expert in his field, the doctor is aware of the impact that the environment has on the health of the patient. When a patient’s case is evaluated and allergies are thought to be the cause of the problem, the environment is always kept in the equation, thereby helping the patient acquire tools to improve his or her health.
After completing his medical degree and his Ears, Nose, and Throat (ENT) residency at the Republic’s University in Montevideo-Uruguay, Dr. Saporta completed 2 years of research in the ENT Department of the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University. He subsequently completed an ENT residency at the Presbyterian Hospital in New York City in July of 1990.
Before long, he became board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, which is a founding member of the American Board of Medical Specialities.
Early in his career, Dr. Saporta recognized the importance of allergy in the development of ENT related pathology, which is why he became a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. He then attained fellowship status with the said Academy.
In addition to English, Dr. Saporta speaks Spanish and Portuguese.
