Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Valerie Schulz, who cares for patients in Manhasset, New York.

Board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist, Dr. Schulz is currently taking care of patients at the Women’s Comprehensive Health Center in Manhasset, New York. Women’s Comprehensive Health Center is a part of Northwell Health - Long Island Jewish Medical Center.

After earning her medical degree from the State University of New York Upstate Medical University, Dr. Schulz went on to complete her residency at SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse.

She is currently a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She also became board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The ABOG is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada.

Obstetrics and Gynecology is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics, covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period, and gynecology, covering the health of the female reproductive system, the vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts. An obstetrician-gynecologist, or OB-GYN, is a healthcare professional who specializes in female reproductive health.
