Dr. Chang is a reconstructive and implant dentist known for his comprehensive dental care in San Jose, California. He is currently serving patients at his own private practice – Mervyn Chang D.D.S. – which offers everything from root canals to dental implants and teeth whitening. Dr. Chang graduated from the University of Missouri in 1966. Thereafter, he went on to continue his education in Orthodontics at the United States Dental Institute. He also took courses at the San Diego Dental Implant Institute to receive his specialization in Dental Implants. Dr. Chang is a life long scholar and has studied at the University of Hawaii, University of California, University of the Pacific, Turon University as well a the Global Institute for Dental Education.

Dr. Chang is a Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral and Implantology (DICOI). Diplomate status is the highest degree and honor that a professional organization can bestow on a medical professional.Devoted to providing implant education to the entire dental team to better serve its patients, the ICOI is not only the world’s largest dental implant organization, but it is also the world’s largest provider of continuing dental implant education.
