Assisting individuals and families, Frisco Behavioral Health Group, LLC has been established to provide state-of-the-art, comprehensive behavioral healthcare on an outpatient basis. Back in the early days of his academic career, Dr. Haqqani earned his medical degree from Jinnah Sindh Medical University in Pakistan in 1993. Upon relocating to the United States, he served his residency in psychiatry at John Peter Smith Hospital in Texas in 2004. He also served as a postdoctoral fellow within the Department of Behavioral Sciences at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
With an extensive background in psychiatry, Dr. Haqqani has served as the Medical Director of Dallas Behavioral Healthcare Hospital, as an inpatient psychiatrist at Sundance Hospital, an inpatient psychiatrist at Oceans Plano Hospital, and as the Medical Director of the Inpatient Psychiatric Unit at John Peter Smith Hospital. He has also served as an Assistant Professor at the North Texas Health Science Center at John Peter Smith Hospital and as a staff psychiatrist at the North Texas Affiliated Medical Group in Fort Worth.
A Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, the doctor is board-certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology.
