Transforming Child Health and Wellness in Westerly, RI

Dr. Susan Stuart, a Board Certified Pediatrician with nearly three decades of experience, is making waves in the fields of pediatric care and aesthetic medicine. As a dedicated solo practitioner at Westerly Medical Center, Dr. Stuart has focused her efforts on diagnosing and treating infections, injuries, and diseases in children, with a particular emphasis on weight management and overall wellness.

Dr. Stuart’s journey began 28 years ago, inspired by a deep commitment to nurturing the health and well-being of children. As her practice evolved, she recognized a growing need for comprehensive care that extended beyond traditional medicine. Eight years ago, she expanded into Aesthetic Medicine—an addition that allowed her to embrace a truly holistic approach to wellness. While continuing to focus on pediatric health, particularly in areas like childhood obesity, she now also empowers adult patients through aesthetic treatments that promote confidence, self-esteem, and overall vitality.

In addition to her work at Wells Fountain, Dr. Stuart is co-owner of Dorrance Spa in Providence and Hill & Harbor Medical Aesthetics in East Greenwich, further enhancing her reach in the wellness community. Her extensive education and training, including a Doctor of Osteopathy from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific and a Master’s in Epidemiology/Public Health from the University of Massachusetts, underpin her expertise in both pediatric and aesthetic medicine.

Dr. Stuart is an active member of professional organizations, including the American Society of Obesity Medicine and the American Academy of Pediatrics, demonstrating her commitment to staying at the forefront of medical advancements and best practices. Dr. Stuart served in the U.S. Navy, a chapter of her life that first led her to the historic coastal town of Newport, Rhode Island.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, she finds her greatest joy in being the devoted mother of five wonderful children.

When asked about her success, Dr. Stuart attributes it to “dedication and hard work.” Outside of her professional life, she enjoys weight lifting and finds relaxation in Florida’s sunny landscapes.
