Get to know Family Physician Dr. Paul D. Rothwell, who serves patients in Bethany, Oklahoma.

Dr. Rothwell, a board-certified family physician, sees patients of all ages with a special interest in preventative medicine, nutrition, integrative medicine, and aesthetics at Gilbert Medical Center in Bethany, Oklahoma.

Gilbert Medical Center and its board-certified team of physicians proudly serve Bethany and surrounding communities, providing comprehensive family and wellness care to patients from birth until later years. They are on staff at Integris, Mercy, and Deaconess hospitals, and have strong relationships with specialists in every area of medicine. 

A Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice, Dr. Rothwell also provides his services at Wellness & Longevity in Bethany, helping patients achieve world-class health at all stages of life through customized programs integrating conventional, alternative, and restorative medicine. 

In addition to maintaining his current positions, he serves as a Clinical Associate Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. 

A 1974 graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, Dr. Rothwell went on to complete his residency at Baptist Medical Center of Oklahoma. He is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine, which is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties. Additionally, he is board-certified in functional and regenerative medicine by the American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine, which is the world’s largest and most respected organization supporting integrative medicine. 

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person whom a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility. 

Outside of the office, Dr. Rothwell’s hobbies include motorcycles, alpine skiing, backpacking/nutrition, and weight training.
