With patients ranging from infants to the elderly, their goal is to provide the highest quality services to patients and the community in the most cost effective manner. They are especially interested in helping athletes maintain foot and ankle health to effectively pursue their goals.
Having grown up in Houston, Dr. Mactavish graduated with his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the California School of Podiatric Medicine in 1974. He started a private practice as soon as his residency was completed.
A Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (FACFAS), he is board-certified through the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS). The mission of the ABFAS is to protect and improve the health and welfare of the public by the advancement of the art and science of podiatric surgery.
Locally, Dr. MacTavish has served on the Board of Directors for Northgate Country Club, Chief of Medical Staff at Texas Outpatient Surgical Center, and on various committees at Houston Northwest Medical Center Hospital. He has also served as chairman of numerous committees within both the Texas and American Podiatric Medical Associations.
