Get to know Family Physician Dr. Curtis Cheeks Jr., who serves patients in Dallas, Georgia.

A devoted family physician, Dr. Cheeks Jr. sees patients at his private practice – Primary Care Plus – in Dallas, Georgia.

The mission of Primary Care Plus is to improve the health of their community by delivering exceptional patient-centered care. Their aim is to provide what we call the Five C’s of Primary Care Plus. It is their goal to deliver Courteous, Compassionate, Convenient, Caring, and Comprehensive patient-centered medical care. They want their patients to feel they are being viewed as unique, whole people, with individual needs and expectations.

A native of Georgia and raised in South Carolina, Dr. Cheeks Jr. completed his college education at the South Carolina State University, and returned to Georgia to attend the Morehouse School of Medicine where he received his medical degree and completed his residency in family medicine.

On a professional level, he is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians, the American Society of Bariatric Physicians, and the Cellular Medicine Association. He is also a ringside physician and member of the Georgia State Boxing and Mixed Martial Arts Association and the USA Amateur Boxing Association.

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility.
