Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Renu Chalasani, who serves patients in Austin, Texas.

Dr. Chalasani is a highly regarded obstetrician-gynecologist accepting patients at ARC Seton Northwest in Austin, Texas. She joined the practice in 1998, performing some procedures using the da Vinci Surgical System. 

ARC Seton Northwest offers obstetrics/gynecology services for women of all ages, including routine obstetrics, high risk obstetrics, annual exams, menopause symptoms, painful periods, abnormal pap smears, STD screening and treatment, fertility, irregular cycles, contraception, as well as minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgery.  

Throughout her academic career, Dr. Chalasani graduated with her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center Shreveport – School of Medicine in 1994. She then went on to perform her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans in 1998.

As a testament to her success, she is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, whose mission is to define standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

Named Top Doctors For Women 2020 by Austin Monthly, Dr. Chalasani is affiliated with Dell Children’s Medical Center, Seton Medical Center Austin, Seton Medical Center Williamson, Seton Southwest Hospital, and Seton Northwest Hospital (where she provides labor and delivery services). 

In addition, she is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Texas Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Happily married, Dr. Chalasani is the mother of twins. When she is not working, she enjoys traveling, doing yoga, and spending time with her girlfriends. She was born in India and still speaks her native language, Telugu.
