Back in the early days of her academic career, Dr. Orlin-Kraff graduated with her medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1987. She then went on to complete her internship at the Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in 1988, and her residency in ophthalmology at the McGaw Medical Center in 1991.

Following her training, the doctor attained board certification in ophthalmology through the American Board of Ophthalmology, an independent, non-profit organization responsible for certifying ophthalmologists in the United States of America.
