Get to know Family Physician Dr. Gary Birdsall, who serves patients in Cut Off, Louisiana.

Dr. Birdsall is a board-certified family physician with over three decades of clinical experience in the South Lafourche community. He is the Founder of Dr. Gary Birdsall Medical Clinic, LLC.

Treating patients of all ages, the entire family, he has extensive experience in both pediatric and geriatric care. He performs comprehensive evaluations and treatment of many chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, lipid disorders, and respiratory disorders. He also practices preventive medicine through utilizing wellness, screening, and testing to help prevent disease.

Born and raised and currently residing in Cut Off, Louisiana, Dr. Birdsall graduated with his medical degree from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans in 1984. He then went on to perform his residency in family medicine at Earl K Long Medical Center in 1987.

Holding an active license with the State of Louisiana since August of 1984, he is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility. 

Accomplished in his field, Dr. Birdsall has been the recipient of the Patients’ Choice Award (2014) and Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2014).
