Get to know Neurologist Dr. Aamir Hussain, who serves patients in Chardon, Ohio.

Neurologist Dr. Hussain is an Assistant Professor, board-certified in both neurology and neuromuscular medicine by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting high quality patient care for the public. With expertise in treating general neurology, neuromuscular disorders and electromyography, he is affiliated with UHMP Neurology in Chardon, Ohio, which is a part of University Hospitals- Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio. He loves treating migraine and other types of headaches. He has a special interest and skill to treat complex cases of headaches with  Botox and other injection therapies.

After earning his medical degree from Khyber Medical College in Peshawar, Pakistan in 2001, Dr. Hussain relocated to the United States for his internship in internal medicine at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center in New York City, New York. He then went on to complete his residency in neurology at Beth Israel Medical Center- Albert Einstein College of Medicine, followed by his fellowship in neuromuscular diseases and electromyography at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. Finally, he completed an additional fellowship in neuromuscular disorders at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center- Case Western Reserve University Cleveland, OH in 2013. 

Neurology is a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of the nervous system. Neurologists are licensed medical specialists who diagnose and treat disorders that affect the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles of patients. They examine a patient’s mental and physical status, conduct medical tests and scans, and evaluate the results to diagnose and treat the patient.
