Get to know Podiatrist Dr. Howard R. Shapiro, who serves patients in New York, New York.

Being a board-certified podiatrist, Dr. Shapiro specializes in all aspects of podiatry, including: podiatric medicine, foot surgery and rehabilitation, laser surgery, extracorporeal shockwave therapy, ankle arthroscopy, and podopediatrics. In addition to his affiliation with North Shore Surgi-Center and John T. Mather Hospital, he serves patients at Manhattan Podiatry Associates, P.C. with locations in Midtown and Downtown, New York City, New York. 

Manhattan Podiatry Associates, P.C. provide expert care, diagnosis, and treatment of ankle and foot disorders for children, adults, and seniors. Dr. Steven P. Abramow and Dr. John E. Mancuso began Manhattan Podiatry Associates, P.C. in 1981. The practice has grown steadily, as have both doctors credentials and achievements. Their practicing philosophy is defined by providing a comprehensive diagnosis and treatment plan for every patient. 

The doctor is a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, which exists to offer podiatric physicians a comprehensive board qualification and certification process. In regards to his educational background, Dr. Shapiro graduated with his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 1990. The following year, he completed a residency in podiatric medicine and surgery at New York College of Podiatric Medicine and Affiliated Hospitals and Institutions.
