Get to know Family Physician Dr. Jorge A. Salcedo, who serves patients in Houston and Round Rock, Texas.

Dr. Salcedo is a warm and compassionate family physician who has been in private practice in Houston, Texas since 2017. He can also be found on staff at Seton Family of Doctors at Williamson.

“I feel like I connect well with my patients because I am very easy going. I try to be very humble and approachable. I understand that properly educating patients on their conditions and treatment options takes time. I am willing to take that time and I think my patients appreciate that” said Dr. Salcedo.

Conveniently located at the Ascension Seton Williamson campus in Round Rock, Seton Family of Doctors at Williamson provides family medicine services to residents of Williamson County. The doctors and care teams specialize in family medicine, a type of primary care that provides ongoing healthcare for patients of all ages.

From a young age, Dr. Salcedo knew he wanted to be a doctor. Growing up in his native Nicaragua, he was an active volunteer for the Red Cross by age 14. Earning his medical degree from the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the National Autonomous University of Honduras in 1992, he relocated to the United States to further his training. Once there, he completed his residency in family medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in 2004.

A member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, he is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.

Professionally, Dr. Salcedo is affiliated with The Hospitals of Providence Memorial Campus, The Hospitals of Providence Sierra Campus, and Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center.

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility.
