Get to know Hospitalist Dr. Moses E. Udoh, who serves patients throughout the State of South Carolina.

A seasoned hospitalist, Dr. Udoh is affiliated with Prisma Health Hospitalists, seeing patients at their Tuomey, Baptist, Parkridge, and Richland locations in South Carolina.

Prisma Health is South Carolina’s largest private, non-profit healthcare system, and second-largest private company, striving to create a better state of health for South Carolinians. Founded in 2017, their nearly 30,000 team members continue to meet the goals of improving clinical quality by expanding access to care, increasing education and research, and ensuring the best possible experiences for their patients.

With a broad educational background, Dr. Udoh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from The University of South Carolina Upstate. He earned his medical degree from the Spartan Health Sciences University School of Medicine, and completed his residency in internal medicine at New York Medical College

A Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), he is board-certified in hospital medicine and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Hospital medicine is a medical specialty that exists in some countries as a branch of internal or family medicine, dealing with the care of acutely ill hospitalized patients. Physicians whose primary professional focus is caring for hospitalized patients only while they are in the hospital are called hospitalists.

As a testament to his dedication, Dr. Udoh has been the recipient of the Patients’ Choice Award (2020), On-Time Doctor Award (2020), and Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2020).
