Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Barbara Noel, who serves patients in Coral Springs, Florida

A distinguished board-certified gynecologist, Dr. Noel has dedicated her career to the well-being of women, with a remarkable journey that spans from New York to sunny Florida. Her commitment to women’s health and her extensive experience make her a true pillar of the medical community.

Back in the early days of her academic career, the doctor’s journey commenced in her native New York, where she graduated from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then undertook her residency training at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. This renowned medical center specializes in high-risk pregnancies, and it was during her training here that her passion for women’s health and well-being truly blossomed. Her dedication was further evident as she served as Chief Resident during her time at Maimonides.

Driven by a desire to make a global impact, Dr. Noel embarked on medical missions and volunteered her medical expertise in India and Haiti. These experiences broadened her horizons and solidified her commitment to improving the lives of women worldwide.

After her training, she continued her medical journey in the vibrant community of Manhattan, New York. As an attending physician at the Ryan Health Center, affiliated with Roosevelt Hospital (an affiliate of Columbia University and now Weill-Cornell Medicine), she focused on women’s health and education in a diverse and dynamic setting.

Passionate about her profession, Dr. Noel is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (AOBOG). The mission of the AOBOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

Among her professional affiliations, she is not only a respected member of the medical community but also a caring and compassionate advocate for women’s health. As a member of the American Medical Association, Florida Medical Association, and the American Osteopathic Association, she stands at the forefront of advancing healthcare for women.

In her professional experience, Dr. Noel is associated with several prominent medical institutions, including Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, where she previously held the esteemed position of Chief of the OB/GYN Department. She is also affiliated with Broward Health (Imperial Point), HCA Northwest Medical Center (Margate), HCA Woodmont Hospital (Tamarac), and HCA University Hospital (Davie). Her dedication to teaching and clinical leadership has been recognized through numerous awards, but her most cherished recognition comes from the patients she has had the privilege to serve.

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts). Dr. Noel now focuses her practice on Gynecology.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Noel finds joy in spending quality time outdoors with her family. Her appreciation for the arts and sciences, coupled with her love of travel, showcases her well-rounded and adventurous spirit.
