Get to know Family Physician Dr. Anthony Edward Crowley, who serves patients in Lovettsville and Purcellville, Virginia.

As a dedicated family physician, Dr. Crowley cares for people in all age groups at all stages of their life. Rather than focusing on the treatment of one disease or type of patient population, he is the physician who sees people for some of the more routine ailments like a virus, flu, respiratory infection, and health screening. 

Since March of 2013, he has been the Medical Director of Loudoun Medical Group (LMG), serving the patients of Lovettsville and Purcellville, Virginia. He is a founding shareholder of LMG, Chair of the LMG Real Estate Committee, and on the LMG’s Board of Directors. 

As one of the largest and most diverse physician-owned, multi-specialty group practices in Virginia, LMG strives to provide every patient with quality medical care and personalized service. They physicians working there are linked through sophisticated management and clinical support services. They work collectively to offer better benefits to patients while their central office handles the day-to-day task of operating a medical practice – giving them the time they need to care for patients and improve outcomes.

In his official capacity, Dr. Crowley is also the co-owner of Leesburg Sterling Family Practice (LSFP), which is a proud member of LMG. He has been working at the practice since 1987.

The team of board-certified physicians and nurse practitioners at LSFP bring a wealth of experience to the practice of family medicine, a specialty that provides comprehensive health care management for patients of all ages. LSFP is dedicated to providing personalized care for patients, paying special attention to lifestyle, family and social dynamics that affect patient health.

Back in 1984, Dr. Crowley obtained his medical degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. Upon graduation, he performed his residency in family medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School in 1987.

Proactively focusing on wellness, he is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties. 

Prior to his current endeavors, Dr. Crowley served as the President of the Medical Staff and as the Chairman of the Department of Family Medicine at Loudoun Hospital.

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility. 

In honor of his clinical expertise, Dr. Crowley has been the recipient of Top Doctor Awards for multiple years, Vitals On-Time + Promptness Award, and Patients’ Choice Awards. 

A resident of Lovettsville, he enjoys equestrian sports, biking, and hiking in his leisure time.
