Get to know Internist Dr. Dominic Asuquo Offiong, who serves patients in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Dr. Offiong is a well-versed internist who is licensed to practice medicine in Texas, Florida, New York, South Carolina, Georgia, and Indiana. At present, he is affiliated with Methodist Health System in San Antonio, Texas. 

His other hospital affiliations throughout the United States include Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina,  Broward Health Coral Springs, Delray Medical Center, MUSC Health Florence Medical Center, Parkview Regional Medical Center, Saint Mary’s Hospital at Amsterdam, AdventHealth Palm Coast, South Texas Medical Center, United Regional Hospital, and Edinburg Regional Medical Center.

A 1986 graduate of the University of Benin, Faculty of Medicine in Nigeria, Dr. Offiong relocated to the United States to further his training. Once there, he performed his residency in internal medicine at Interfaith Medical Center in New York in 2004.

Following his training, he attained board certification in internal medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.
