Dr. David Sowa is an established and highly skilled physician with over 30 years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a senior attending at the Hospital of Central CT and Assistant Professor for the UCONN School of Medicine, where he remains an active teaching faculty member in the Department of OB/Gyn. Dr.Sowa especially enjoys time spent with the medical students and residency housestaff. He is well regarded in the central Connecticut community, earning numerous accolades for his quality and patient-centered care. He has been voted by peers as one of CT Top Doctors in OB/Gyn, featured in CT Magazine in 2023 and 2024. Dr. Sowa has also been selected by Castle Connolly in 2023 through 2025 as one of the Top Doctors Nationwide. In 2014, he was named a "Top Doctor" among the Southington, Bristol, and Plainville areas by the Reader's Choice Awards. He received "Compassionate Doctor Recognition" for four consecutive years and the "Patient Choice Award" for seven years.
Dr Sowa is active in the community and had served over 20 years with the Greater New Britain Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program. Additionally, with several office staff fluent in Polish, Dr. Sowa and his practice are well in tune to the local Polish community. He is well especially interested in high risk obstetrics, contraceptive technology, and women's menopausal management.
