Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Robert Tomaro Jr., who serves patients in New Jersey.

A committed obstetrician-gynecologist, Dr. Tomaro Jr. sees patients at Monmouth County Associates, with offices in Wall Township and Jackson, New Jersey. 

In his local area, he is affiliated with Monmouth Medical Center, HMH Riverview Medical Center, and HMH Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

With a broad educational background, Dr. Tomaro Jr. earned his medical degree from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Mexico in 1983. After relocating to the United States, he completed his internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Bronx-Lebanon Medical Center, and his fellowship at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University.

A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, the doctor is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts). An obstetrician-gynecologist, or OB-GYN, is a healthcare professional who specializes in female reproductive health.
