Get to know Plastic Surgeon Dr. Marshall Miles, who serves patients in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Miles holds the esteemed position of Associate Chief within the Division of Plastic Surgery at the Lehigh Valley Institute for Surgical Excellence in Allentown, Pennsylvania. His approach to patient care is marked by a profound dedication to treating each individual as a distinct entity, emphasizing the importance of personalized treatment. 

Beyond his medical practice, Dr. Miles is deeply committed to serving his local community. Influenced by his father, a fellow physician, he regards the medical profession as both thrilling and demanding, with the ultimate reward being the enhancement of people’s lives within their own community.

Born and raised in the Lehigh Valley, Dr. Miles attended Lafayette College, graduating with his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology in 1998. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2002, after which he performed his residency in general surgery with Lehigh Valley Health Network in 2003.

Dedicated to surgical excellence, Dr. Miles is board certified in plastic surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Plastic Surgery.

In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), Dr. Miles is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Osteopathic Association, the Lehigh County Medical Society, the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association, the Lukens Loyalty Society, the American College of Academic Plastic Surgeons, the Pennsylvania College of Osteopathic Medicine Lifetime Alumni, the American Society of Bariatric Plastic Surgeons, and the International Society of Bariatric Plastic Surgeons.

Plastic surgery is a surgical specialty involving the restoration, reconstruction, or alteration of the human body. It can be divided into two main categories – reconstructive surgery and cosmetic surgery. A plastic surgeon’s primary responsibility is performing surgical and non-surgical procedures, and they use a variety of reparative and reconstructive techniques to get the job done.

On a more personal note, Dr. Miles enjoys spending time with his four girls, and cross training to help maintain his fitness and health.
