Board Certified Physician Brings Expertise and Compassion to Women’s Healthcare in Arizona

Dr. Mia Lynne Van Eken is a dual board certified obstetrician-gynecologist practicing at East Valley Women for Women, the leading gynecology practice in Arizona. With a wealth of experience and a passion for women’s health, she is dedicated to providing comprehensive care to women at all stages of life, including adolescence, childbirth, and menopause.

With her deep commitment to serving the community, Dr. Van Eken has established herself as a trusted physician in Arizona. Her hospital affiliations at Chandler Regional Hospital, Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, and Banner Ocotillo reflect her dedication to delivering exceptional care to her patients in a variety of settings.

Dr. Van Eken’s extensive academic background showcases her dedication to continuous learning and professional growth. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology with minors in Biology and Physical Science, along with an Honors Degree in General Education, from Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania. She then earned a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by a rotating internship at Delaware County Community Hospital, Crozer Chester Medical Center, and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. 

Furthering her training, Dr. Van Eken completed an OB/GYN residency at UMDNJ/Cooper Hospital/University Medical Center in Camden, New Jersey, from 1998 to 2002, and later earned a Master of Business Administration Degree from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

As a Diplomate of the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and in minimally-invasive gynecologic surgery, Dr. Van Eken upholds the highest standards of care and professionalism in her practice. Her active participation in professional organizations such as the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists underscores her dedication to advancing women’s healthcare.

Beyond her medical practice, Dr. Van Eken values work-life balance and enjoys spending quality time with her family, including her husband and two children. Her love for travel and exploration enriches her perspective and allows her to bring a well-rounded approach to patient care.
