Get to know Pediatrician Dr. Paul J. Harlow, who serves patients in Teaneck, New Jersey.

A trusted pediatrician, Dr. Harlow is in practice with Tenafly Pediatrics, seeing patients at their offices in Teaneck, New Jersey.

Completing his undergraduate education at Boston College, Dr. Harlow graduated with his medical degree from the SUNY Downstate Medical Center. He completed his internship and residency in pediatrics at the Bronx Municipal Medical Center, and his fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in pediatrics and pediatric hematology/oncology by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.

With over 30 years of experience as a pediatrician in Bergen County, Dr. Harlow has hospital privileges at Hackensack University Medical Center and The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, and is a Consultant within the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Department of the Institute of Child Development at Hackensack University Medical Center.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends individuals be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. Pediatricians provide medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. They are trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all of their developmental stages, as they grow and mature.

Among his various accolades, Dr. Harlow has been the recipient of the Top Doctor Award by Jersey’s Best Magazine (2010-2021), Top Doctor for Children Award by Jersey’s Best Magazine (2010-2018), and Top Doctor Award by New York Magazine (2021).

On a more personal note, he enjoys spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
