Get to know Neurologist Dr. Andrew Erian, who serves patients in West Nyack, New York.

Being a well-versed neurologist, Dr. Erian diagnoses, manages, and treats a variety of neurological illnesses. He practices at Rockland Neurological Associates in West Nyack, New York.

A part of Highland Medical, PC, Rockland Neurological Associates is committed to excellence in patient health care. As neurologists, the physicians are highly trained to treat disorders of the nervous system, including diseases of the brain, spinal cord, nerves and muscles. They provide expert services in the diagnosis and treatment for many neurological conditions and use the latest innovations. Some of the more common conditions they diagnose and treat are strokes, epilepsy (seizures), headaches, dementia (Alzheimer’s disease), multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and various forms of pain. 

The physicians of Rockland Neurological Associates are affiliated with Montefiore Nyack Hospital where they maintain 24-hour emergency coverage. Several of them also serve as Neurology Consultants at Rockland Psychiatric Center in Orangeburg.

In 2011, Dr. Erian graduated with his medical degree from the Ross University School of Medicine in Portsmouth, Dominica. He then went on to perform his internship at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey, and his  residency in neurology at Augusta University in Augusta, Georgia. He is also trained in Botox for migraines, certain nerve blocks, and trigger point injections.

Paving his way to excellence, the doctor is board-certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology.  He is also certified in Headache Medicine by the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties (UCNS).

Among his professional affiliations, Dr. Erian is a member of the American Headache Society and the American Academy of Neurology.

Neurology is a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of the nervous system. Neurologists are licensed medical specialists who diagnose and treat disorders that affect the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles of patients. They examine a patient’s mental and physical status, conduct medical tests and scans, and evaluate the results to diagnose and treat the patient.
