A seasoned addiction medicine specialist, Dr. Chatman is the Area Medical Director for CleanSlate Centers, providing clinical oversight and patient care at their offices in the west half of Ohio.
The CleanSlate drug treatment center in Cincinnati, Ohio treats people with substance abuse disorders with dignity, compassion and respect. They offer recovery programs for drug addictions like opioids and alcohol and accept Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance as well.
Academically, Dr. Chatman earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Mississippi in 1986, and received her medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio in 1994. She completed her residency in family medicine at Bethesda North Hospital in 1997.
Later, she graduated with her Master of Public Health degree (MPH) from The Ohio State University in 2010, and earned her Post Master’s Certificate in Clinical Informatics from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2012. She is also a Certified Physician Executive (CPE), Certified Professional in Healthcare Information Management Systems (CPHIMS), and Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional (CHEP).
Distinguished as a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians (FAAFP), the doctor is double board-certified through the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Preventive Medicine.
On a professional level, Dr. Chatman serves as the Past President of the Ohio State Medical Association; Medical Officer for Disaster Medical Assistance Team OH-5; Delegate to the American Medical Association from Ohio; and is an active member of the AMA Council on Science and Public Health, and the Southwestern Ohio Academy of Family Physicians.
