Dr. Walker is an adept internist who serves as the Associate Medical Director & Palliative Care Lead at Landmark Health in Houston, Texas.

Landmark was formed in 2013 to solve a problem that exists in the United States for people at greatest risk. Many people with multiple chronic health conditions rely on hospital emergency rooms as their primary source of health care. 

For this reason, Landmark assembled a team of leaders with experience in complex panel management, in-home medical care, risk-based partnerships, and operational excellence. They approach care using the patient’s personal health characteristics, not historical utilization, and provide care to the whole patient with proven outcomes.

Educated in the United States, Dr. Walker graduated with his medical degree from the McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston in 1983. He then went on to perform a combined residency in pediatrics and internal medicine at the University of Tennessee in 2007.

With over two decades of experience in his field, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists.
