Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Dilara Eileen Samadi, who serves patients in Williamsville, New York.

Dr. Samadi is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist who has expanse knowledge and unrivaled expertise in menopause, high-risk pregnancies, robotic surgery, vaginal surgery, and laparoscopic surgery. To her, treating people well means treating everyone the same and like family member would be treated. 

She has been practicing with Buffalo Medical Group in Williamsville, New York since 1997. Buffalo Medical Group, consisting of over 100 doctors and specialists, continues to provide innovative patient care as one of the oldest and largest physician-directed group practices in New York State.

Professionally, Dr. Samadi is also affiliated with Sisters of Charity Hospital, and Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital.

In 1985, she earned her medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in Mexico. Upon graduation, she went on to complete an internship at the Jersey City Medical Center’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, followed by a residency at the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, affiliated with Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo.

Before long, she became board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The ABOG is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada. 

Among the doctor’s many accomplishments, she has been awarded the prestigious titles of Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG) and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). She has also been honored with multiple awards and recognitions over the years, including Patients’ Choice Award (2018) and Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2018) from vitals.com.

Obstetrics and Gynecology is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics, covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period, and gynecology, covering the health of the female reproductive system, the vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts. An obstetrician-gynecologist, or OB-GYN, is a healthcare professional who specializes in female reproductive health.

On the subject of Dr. Samadi’s community involvement, she is a member of the Junior League of Buffalo and the Girl Scout Council of Erie County.

Her favorite pastime is watching the DIY Network and Food Network, being with her family and gardening. She loves to cook and make preserves
