Get to know OBGYN Dr. Reid A Goodman, who serves the population of Denver, Colorado. Specialty: Obstetrics and Gynecology College: University of Colorado Medical School: University of Colorado Hospital Affiliation: Rose Medical Center, and the Swedish Medical Center Education: Dr. Goodman completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado where he graduated in 1971 with a degree in Biology. He then returned to his alma mater and graduated with his Medical Degree in 1975. Giving him over four decades of experience in his field. Experience: After obtaining his Medical Degree Dr. Goodman completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology internship and residency with the University of California at San Diego. He is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and a fellow of the American College of Gynecology. Current Position: Dr. Goodman currently practices within his private practice that has been handed down to him through his father. He is affiliated with the Swedish Medical Center. He is on the medical staff of Rose Medical Center, where he has also been honored with the Rose Hospital Faculty Teaching Award for Family Medicine. He is also a clinical professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and Rocky Vista University. Obstetrics and Gynecology: Obstetrician-gynecologists (OB/GYN) are physicians who possess special knowledge, skills and professional capability in the medical and surgical care of the female reproductive system and associated disorders, enables them to serve as consultants to other physicians and as primary physicians for women. Obstetrics and gynecology is a broad and diverse branch of medicine, including surgery, management of the care of pregnant women, gynecologic care, oncology, and primary health care for women. Most OB/GYNs are generalists and see a variety of medical conditions in the office, perform surgery, and manage labor and delivery. Office practice consists of providing women with preventive examinations and other primary care and identifying gynecologic problems. Personal: Dr. Goodman is a lifelong Colorado resident. Dr. Goodman loves to explore the world, learning about other cultures and customs through travel, and has visited approximately 75 countries. He cherishes time spent with family, both near and far, above all else. He also enjoys any opportunity to work on his golf game.
