Since 1946, the staff of the Colmery-O’Neil VA Medical Center has been serving the nation’s veterans with excellent health care. Its mission is to provide accessible, courteous, comprehensive, and quality health care to veterans in an environment of excellence.

A 1972 graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine, Dr. Wells went on to perform his residency in internal medicine at US Public Health Service Hospital in 1978.

Specializing in the medical treatment of adults, he holds over five decades of experience in his field. 

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists.
